IBM has launched an online information service that it says provides up-to-date technical information for users of its AS/400 business computing system.
Organised a bit like an encyclopedia, the service consists of more than 250 short entries that have been arranged into four "volumes." The volumes cover systems and technology, options and peripherals, software, and communications.
The online service provides up-to-date and comprehensive information about IBM's AS/400 system in a way that can be understood by nontechnical readers, according to IBM.
Content for the site was adapted from a print book, Exploring IBM AS/400 Computers, published by Maximum Press in the US. The site will be updated and expanded based on user feedback, IBM said.
The "AS/400 Online Encyclopedia" can be found on the Web at www.as400.ibm.com/encyclopedia/
