Sydney-based AV distributor, Image Data Technology (IDT), has signed a deal with Calypso Control Systems to distribute its range of control devices.
IDT managing director, Gerry Wilkins, said the deal was important because the distributor now had access to a complete display technology package.
"We didn't have a control system in our range and felt that was a missing part," he said. "This deal has rounded out our offering nicely and we will be providing a complete solution of signal distribution, display technology and control capability."
Wilkins said the product targeted a wide range of markets ranging from the education sector to SMBs. IDT would be offering the product to any qualified AV reseller or integrator.
"It is a simple product for a new reseller or integrator to get involved with and learn the technology," he said.
Resellers and integrators that are interested in the range are offered a demo kit. This contains a Pro I/O, MX3000 remote control and MRF 300 hub.
"We have placed five complete demo systems in the field, which we are now rotating through our customer base," Wilkins said. "This allows them to get hands on experience with the products but they will also be trained."
IDT will conduct product road shows, including training sessions, throughout Australia in March and July. Resellers and integrators that attend will be offered a discount on their first system purchase.
