VoSKY launch new FXO and FXS Skype PBX gateways

Vendor strategically aims new lines at SME and corporate markets.

At the upcoming CeBIT show in Sydney, IW Distribution and Actiontec will showcase the latest FXO and FXS VoSKY Skype PBX gateways targeted at SMEs and large corporations.

The new VoSKY Exchange 9040 and 9080 series offers four or eight Skype lines in a stackable, 19-inch rack-mountable design. It can be connected to the PBX via FXO ports.

VoSKY Exchange servers provide customers with the ability to make and receive Skype-to-Skype calls as well as Skype-in calls from regular phone systems.

The 9141 and 9180 series have similar traits however; there's also software for global call transfers over Skype that allows calls to be transferred to any number inside or outside the office or any Skype user.

The server is not very complicated to install meaning users can get set-up and running in about two hours without having to change their existing PBX equipment, phones or PCs.

IW Distribution director, Daryl Chambers, said any PBX could become Skype enabled by allocating a free extension to connect the VoSKY Exchange.
