Marshal on the hunt for partners

VP claims opportunities abound for partners working in content security

Security vendor, Marshal, is on the hunt for more content security partners.

Asia-Pacific vice-president, Nick Hawkins, said it wanted to increase its dealer base through distributor, Express Data, to take advantage of the growth opportunity in the content security market. He claimed the endorsement of new government regulations based on compliance was opening up substantial opportunities for resellers offering managed security.

"What we are looking for people is who see their business model built around security and content security management and are focused in this market space," he said. "What we don't want to do is take on people who may talk about this space, but in reality their business is not going down this road."

Hawkins did not disclose how many partners Marshal currently has or planned to recruit.

"I don't want to put a fixed number. We are 100 per cent focused on channel and want to work closely with dealers, so identifying the right ones is important to us," he said.

Marshal recently launched the MailMarshal Service Provider Edition, which is a hosted email security service scalable for large and small deployments. It is based on MailMarshal SMTP software.

The vendor is also looking at hiring more sales and technical staff to grow its team of eight.
