Managed security provider, Seccom, has teamed up with BigAir to provide backup and disaster recovery solutions across the carrier's wireless broadband network.
Seccom's Disaster Recovery Solution is based on StorageCraft's Real-Time recovery technology and links a client's network directly to Seccom's datacentre.
CIO, Gavin Mathews, said back-up data captured from the StorageCraft solution every 15 minutes would be farmed across the BigAir link. The service will be offered to customers for a monthly fee.
Mathews said the partnership was driven by customer demand for more secure DR.
"Wireless is a different medium, it doesn't have the same risks of land lines," he said.
BigAir CEO, Jason Ashton, said the arrangement would extend BigAir's market reach into the SME and mid-corporate market. BigAir and Seccom had also recently produced co-branded collateral.
The relationship with Seccom tied in with BigAir's intentions to partner with many integrators, Ashton said.
