PC hardware distributor, Mittoni, has signed an exclusive deal with PC fan vendor, Noctua.
Noctua is a cooperation between the Australian Rascom Computer distribution Ges.m.b.H and the Taiwanese Kolink International Corporation and has a development partnership with the Australian Institute of Heat Transmission and Fan Technology.
Mittoni CEO, Louis Mittoni, said the company was attracted to Noctua because of the highly engineered and researched design behind the products. The distributor carries a range of extreme performance gear aimed at the enthusiast market including hardware from ThermalTake and Zboard.
Mittoni said it would look at bundling the Noctua cooling products with Auzentech sound cards to cater to audiophiles and enthusiasts building home theatre-quality PCs.
He said Noctua was looking to have a reliable supply chain in Australia.
The distributor will Noctua's market presence via online and print media advertising and reviews.
The exclusive arrangement will extend to new products that Noctua has slated for release in February.
Noctua's PR representative, Jakob Dellinger, said the company chose Mittoni because its specialisation matched Noctua's product range.
He said Noctua had been approached by a number of distributors after Nintek, which had carried its product range, went into administration late last year.
