Software vendor, Sybase, has joined forces with local software and services provider, Keylink Technology, to push its Sybase IQ data warehouse solution into the local market.
Under the agreement, Keylink will offer Sybase IQ as a part of its solutions portfolio. Keylink director, Luke Dougherty, said Sybase IQ was idea for its large enterprise customers. These include Telstra, Westpac, CSC, IBM Australia, Centrelink, Myer and Woolworths.
"Some of our customers have 20TB of data. We were very impressed with Sybase IQ's performance and speed," he said.
Sybase director of channel and alliances, Steve Dolan, said Keylink had strong technical knowledge, along with a good approach to customers, and worked well with Sybase.
The pair will work closely on marketing plans, sharing lead generation and organising roadshows and breakfast seminars for existing customers.
"As organisation data use and storage grows, there will be a lot of good opportunities for management solutions such as Sybase IQ," Dougherty added.
Sybase continues to look for partners for the Sybase IQ solution.
"Coming from a successful year where we hit our $US1 billion dollar target, 2008 will be a year in which we develop our partner community," Dolan said.
