Netspace gets proactive in the channel

ISP makes new appointments and relaunches channel program to coincide with new SMB offering

Broadband ISP, Netspace, has introduced a new partner program targeting SMB-focused ISP resellers.

The program ties in with the launch of the company's SMB business communications solution, BusinessOne. The package incorporates Netspace's Hosted Exchange Solution and Ethernet over copper technology and is supported by dedicated account managers and 24/7 local technical assistance.

Netspace channel manager, Brett Scoll, said its partner program came in response to the directors at Netspace seeing opportunity to increase channel business. It also wanted to offer resellers an alternative to working with the larger telcos.

Partners participating in the program will be entitled to both upfront and ongoing commissions.

"We will be working closely with partners to increase their brands and co-fund marketing initiatives," Scoll said.

Netspace has also appointed three key new members to focus on increasing channel growth. Scoll is one of the new appointments and comes to the newly-created position having previously run his own Telstra dealership.

Scoll said he would initially be meeting partners and ensuring they were happy with the service.

"We have decided to be extremely proactive with our channel. Previously we had let the opportunities come to us," he said.

Netspace was keen to talk to anyone interested in becoming a partner, he said.
