Izazi takes SAP to the banks

Banking specialist firm formulates partnership with SAP to move in line with its global operations

SAP has extended an international partnership with Izazi, appointing the integrator as a banking sector partner in Australia.

Izazi CEO, Jay Pather, said the company has had a relationship with SAP for four-and-a-half years in South Africa, and has been forming a similar partnership locally for the past year.

“SAP represents 80 per cent of our business, so forming a partnership with them locally was important for us,” he said.

Izazi is headquartered in South Africa, and has offices in Johannesburg, Namibia, India, Botswana and Sydney.

Pather said the decision to open an Australian office was to take advantage of opportunities in South-East Asia.

The Sydney location has five staff but the company is looking to recruit.

“We believe the Australian market is critical for us, so in line with that we started to hire some local people,” Pather said.

Izazi country manager, Theo Albers, said the integrator was a specialist in banking solutions.

“The market opportunities for us are with the tier 2 and tier 3 banks,” he said.

Izazi’s other global vendor partner is Tibco. At present, however, there is no local relationship between the two companies although they are in discussions.
