My Net Fone to launch Naked ADSL2+

Will also launch ad hoc data download top ups

My Net Fone is to launch a national Naked ADSL2+ service in mid-May aimed at encouraging fixed line telephony users to ditch their current provider in favour of fast broadband and VoIP telephony services from the company.

With the service, My Net Fone will enable it to have total control over its telephony service, thus enabling it to fully control it’s the quality of the calls users make using its VoIP service.

It will also be able to increase the range of services offered to new and current customers, and up the potential for increased revenue opportunities, the company said in an ASX statement.

My Net Fone said that with the offering, customers would be able to mix and match VoIP and Naked ADSL2+ plans to meet their particular usage patterns allowing them to pay only for what they used.

Rene Sugo, technical director at My Net Fone said a major feature of the new service would be the ability for customers to purchase ad hoc data download packages allowing them to boost their data download limits as needed.

“We are confident there will be a strong take up of the service as more and more residential and business users are finding out that there are alternatives to he traditional phone line,” he said. “They do not need to be stuck with high line rental fees any more.”
