Nine Newsbreak

We’re all busy people. Sitting down in front of the news for half an hour at the end of the day may well be a luxury we can’t afford.
Enter Nine Newsbreak, which may just be the best possible way to consume “TV” news in the future.
What Nine Newsbreak does well is present individual newsclips in a YouTube-like fashion. See the headline, and if you like it, tap on through to watch the 30 second to 2 minute-length clip.
The interface is clean and easy to use, and advertisements are not too invasive. The quality of the video itself is patchy, but then this is an app designed for on-the-go news catchups where Internet connection may be patchy.
It’s also free and a small download, so it’s a useful little app to have sitting on your iDevice.
Pros: Free, easy and light way to catch up on the news.
Cons: It’s light on features and the video quality is patchy.
Verdict: The new best way to unwind with the news.
