Accolades recognises the winners at this year's ARN IT Industry Awards - the best of the best. Over the course of the next few weeks, ARN will be running their stories. The Channel Choice Awards were selected through an online voting process by the channel itself. Vendors, Distributors and Resellers alike were invited to vote on their favourite companies over the past 12 months.
HP, Channel Choice Vendor of the Year
It’s been a dynamic year for HP, and under the guidance of a new CEO, will be a dynamic year ahead. But the good news for the vendor is that through thick and thin its partners are still more than happy to do business with it; enough so that it is this year’s ARN Channel Choice vendor of the year.
As a vendor HP has a very broad range of products and services that mean it can touch many different kinds of partners. While big businesses can sometimes be difficult for partners to deal with, it’s not the case with HP. Indeed, the vendor prides itself on being predictable and consistent with its partners at all times.
“I think what’s been paramount to our success is that we’ve always been predictable,” HP ESS country channel manager, Australia, Chris Spence, said.
“We’ve always been very predictable, very consistent and very transparent. We’re working with a partner community they know exactly where we’re going, exactly what we’re doing and they can drive that business in line with our activities.”
And there’s no intention to change on that philosophy in the new year, Spence added. HP has a big 2012 planned.
“We’ll continue to deliver products and solutions that enable our business partners to provide agility to their customers,” Spence said. “After all, it is around those solutions and the services that the channel partner community add to our products and solutions.”
And, of course, the channel that works hard together should be able to party hard together. HP is big on rewarding partners for good work.
“We’ve got some exciting technical and sales academies planned for FY 12. We’ve got Maccu Piccu coming up next year. We have our worldwide partner forum in Las Vegas and in November we had the Melbourne Cup,” Spence said.
“So there’s some very exciting things in FY 12, we’re very busy planning to ensure it’ll be exciting, profitable and dynamic for the partner community.”
