WordFoto is an app that let’s you give your photos a very pop art feel. To put it simply, the app turns photos into a typographic image, that is, an image composed of words.
Think The Truman Show movie poster but with lots of words making up the picture rather than lot of different images.
There are preset phrases you can apply to your photos but there is an option to put your own words into it. Since you can only input words one-by-one, it is probably not recommended to put in long phrases.
A number of different styles are available that can be applied to modify a selected image. You can go with classic black and white or use a comic book style. The colour and the font of the words will be adjusted accordingly.
There is an option to fine-tune the words that appear on the image but I didn’t find it particularly useful and the changes are hardly noticeable.
Sharing options include email and Facebook. Surprisingly, the app does not support Twitter.
Pros: Fun, easy to use, creates beautiful art-like images.
Cons: Fine-tuning is somewhat useless, limited styles to choose from.
Verdict: Give it a go if you have a penchant for experimenting with photos.
