Business intelligence (BI) software vendor, Yellowfin, has signed a global partnership agreement with Elastic Intelligence that will help BI's customers leverage the latter's Connection Cloud, a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) platform for real-time access to software-as-a-service (SaaS) data in the Cloud.
Through Connection Cloud’s SQL-based data connection, Yellowfin customers will be able to analyse and report on data that is stored in SaaS applications, including Salesforce, Netsuite, Intacct, Zuora, Zendesk, Eloqua, and others.
According to Yellowfin, the partnership removes the hassle in retrieving SaaS data often hidden behind APIs. Connection Cloud also eliminates the need for data warehouses and additional IT support.
“Enterprise professionals looking for the best sources of BI data know it’s out there in the Cloud, but up until now it has been a nightmare to access, and virtually impossible to retrieve quickly,” Connection Cloud CEO, Ajay Singh, said. “Yellowfin customers, with the help of the Connection Cloud, can now mine the richness of Cloud data available, and develop BI reports in a timeframe that optimizes the value of that data.
To access SaaS data, Yellowfin customers must create an account on Connection Cloud, and then connect to the service via the supplied ODBC/JDBC drivers (installed and online versions).
