ATechnology migrates customers to iseek Communications’ datacentre

Moves Web hosting, VPS hosting, and email hosting clients across

Hosting provider, ATechnology, has migrated all of its customers to iseek Communications’ datacentre, located at Export Park in Brisbane.

The company moved its entire Web hosting, virtual private server (VPS) hosting, and email hosting clients across to the datacentre.

ATechnology director, Sarah-Jane Peterschlingmann, said it decided to migrate its customers as it was seeking a “fast, reliable and secure” datacentre.

“ATechnology now uses the datacentre to house our customers’ business-critical IT systems for a diverse range of corporate organisations. iseek's facility establishes new benchmarks in security, capacity, connectivity and power efficiency,” Peterschlingmann said.

The company has backed up its clients’ data at iseek’s Woolloongabba datacentre, and will provide them with a disaster recovery option.

“There is a fibre link connecting the two datacentres. If customers require high availability, we can host the data at both sites. So in the case of an emergency failover, there is no downtime,” she said.

Peterschlingmann also stressed the importance of using an Australian datacentre versus an offshore one.

“Given the quality of datacentres right in our back yard, the decision is a ‘no-brainer’. By keeping it local, you avoid security and latency issues and gain peace of mind regarding data sovereignty,” she added.
