Aussie company Stratatel's acquisition of Cloud accounting company JCurve has been given the tick by shareholders to go ahead, which will see Stratatel renamed JCurve Solutions as of December 1.
Today's AGM saw shareholders vote overwhelmingly in favour of the proposal, and elected a new leadership team.
Chairman Graham Baillie steps down to take on the role of managing director, while Nihal Gupta has now been appointed chairman.
The new MD said that he was excited about building the company towards being a leading Cloud provider in Australia and New Zealand.
“The union between JCurve and Stratatel will open the door to wider growth opportunities for both companies, and will deliver the momentum required to fully realise the identified potential to capture the Australian market with cutting edge, cloud-based business software solutions," Baillie said.
He wants the company to have a strong focus on moving A-NZ small businesses to the Cloud.
JCurve Solutions will soon launch an entry level accounting solution that will allow customers to easily shift from the company's old products.
“We have a compelling proposition to take to small business owners across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region with the JCurve product, and we intend to grow with those entrepreneurs as they grow their businesses,” Baillie said.
JCurve has a strategic technology alliance with NetSuite since 2009, which saw it exclusively promote a small business version of NetSuite’s Cloud business software in the Australia and New Zealand region, whitelabelled under JCurve’s own brand.
