Infrastructure solutions provider, Wharfedale Technologies (WFT), has completed its implementation of an SAP managed services application audit for an undisclosed client which has reduced the costs of maintaining the application.
The SAP BASIS audit was requested by the customer, which is a global manufacturer of aerospace products, control technologies, and specialty materials with 120,000 employees across 100 countries.
The request was made on the back of an increase in incidents of SLA violation, a growing number of unplanned down times, large unbudgeted increase in operational costs, inflexibility and lack of scalability, and unplanned delay in new project roll-outs and modifications.
The audit involved teams of informants and meetings with managed services managers, and the evaluation of high availability configuration and disaster recovery fail-over configuration to validate the customer SLAs as well as recovery point objective (RPO) and recovery time objective (RTO) requirements.
Based on the information it received, WFT analysed and performed a landscape design and operational procedure review to create a GAP analysis and risk mitigation report for any single point of failure.
A recommendation report was delivered to the customer on how to improve the customer SAP basis operations SLAs.
