Chris Hilderbrand has been named as Acronis’ new vice president for global channel sales.
Hilderbrand comes into the role from Microsoft, where he oversaw SMB sales and commercial distribution in the Latin America and Caribbean markets.
At Microsoft, Hilderbrand said he helped to drive more than 95 per cent of transaction through the channel, and hopes to replicate his success with Acronis’ key alliances and partnerships.
“Acronis has one of the best engineering and leadership teams in the industry today, with the right vision to become the most powerful provider of data security across devices, software and Cloud services,” he said.
A channel focus
In addition to ensuring Acronis leads with the channel, Hilderbrand said he plans to optimise all aspects of the company’s partner engagement.
“Acronis was built based on great partners, and I will work to strengthen our channel relationships even further so that we address the explosive demand for data solutions in the market and grow revenues and profitability together,” he said.
Hilderbrand joins Acronis following the recent appointment of Yury Larichev as global operations president, whom worked with Hilderbrand at Microsoft.
“He is the ideal member to join our international team and make sure we maximise our global channel network to the fullest of its capabilities,” Larichev said.
