Oki appoints new NSW/ACT channel manager

Printing vendor brings in printing veteran to lead its channel business.

Oki Data Australia has appointed Sirajum Quasem as the new channel manager responsible for the New South Wales and ACT region.

Quasem comes into the role from LG Electronics Australia, where he was the IT products national retail manager.

Oki national sales manager, Greg Mikaelian, said Quasem was a good fit for the role because of his years of channel management, business development and account growth in the printer industry.

“Sirajum brings the proven ability to build and lead a highly successful channel program, and we are looking forward to the addition of his expertise,” he said.

With Oki, Quasem will be based in Sydney and responsible for channel partner management with a focus on the SMB, corporate and public sector markets.

A printing past

Quasem’s experience with printers comes from his four year stint with Lexmark International prior to LG, where he held roles such as channel manager and strategic partner manager.

Before that he worked at Fuji Xerox as business development manager and Konica Minolta as sales manager, overlooking channel and retail management in New South Wales, ACT, Queensland and New Zealand.

Mikaelian expects Quasem to continue the market share growth and revenue targets he achieved in his past roles.

“His proficiency in partner-led sales, coupled with driving successful go-to-market strategies within the channel community will be an invaluable asset to Oki Data Australia as we continue to expand the role of our channel in supporting our company’s growth,” he said.
