Avnet Technology Solutions is stepping up its Cloud strategy in the A/NZ market through appointing Chris Farrow as its A/NZ Cloud services business manager and launching its Cloud toolset.
In his role, Farrow will be responsible for driving Avnet’s Cloud services vision, focusing on evolving and strengthening its Cloud offering for partners.
Farrow joined Avnet in January and has begun implementing a number of Cloud-focused strategies such as its Avnet Cloud Toolset (ACT), which enables MSPs and VARs to govern, consolidate, manage and track resource consumption across multiple Cloud providers.
Avnet already has a number of partners trialing ACT, which is expected to be fully rolled out in May.
Farrow has cultivated more than 30 years in the IT industry, spending a chunk of that time with IBM across various roles within Australia, Asia Pacific and globally. Most recently, he was the national business development manager, Cloud, at Data#3, and also worked with a number of Cloud-based start-up organisations.
“With his extensive IT services experience, Chris will further build on Avnet’s ability to transform partners’ business performance utilising our portfolio of integrated cloud and managed services solutions,” Avnet Technology Solutions A/NZ vice president and general manager, Darren Adams, said.
