Ingram Micro launches Australian Cloud Marketplace

Include access to Microsoft Office 365 and migration services

Ingram Micro has launched its Australian Cloud Marketplace.

The Cloud Service Platform brings to the region the first and only automated marketplace to include access to Microsoft Office 365 and migration services, according to a company statement.

The Cloud Marketplace now extends across eight countries worldwide, including its most recent unveiling in Belgium.

The company will introduce another Cloud Marketplace in New Zealand in the coming weeks.

Ingram Micro Cloud APAC, executive director, Richard Duggan, said resellers in Australia were seeking a trusted source for a wide range of cloud services and solutions.

“The new Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace enables our resellers to lift their customers’ businesses to the cloud with confidence and ease while elevating their own profitability and footprint in the Cloud,” he said.

Channel partners are now able to directly purchase, provision, price and invoice unique Office 365 bundles from a single, online dashboard.

The offering is backed by an integrated suite of migration services from SkyKick, and also offers consolidated billing, providing partners and their customers with an easier way to manage their subscription costs.

Microsoft Australia director of partner sales, Phil Goldie, said he was thrilled to be working with Ingram Micro to bring the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Programme to Australia through the Ingram Cloud Marketplace.

“Partners have been asking for better ways to be able to manage their Cloud subscriptions with their customers," he said.

"The Microsoft CSP and Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace will bring a new level of service to the channel by offering great cloud services, delivered on the new Ingram Micro platform.

"Delivering Office 365, EMS and other complimentary services, means that our partners can truly deliver great solutions to their customers. “

The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is an ecosystem of buyers, sellers and solutions that enables channel partners to transform and grow their business by offering instant, online access to a wide array of innovative cloud solutions and services.

As a single, automated platform, the Cloud Marketplace delivers seamless and efficient management of the complete end-customer Cloud subscription lifecycle.

In addition to the Cloud Marketplace, Ingram Micro offers a suite of Cloud services and programs designed to further drive Australian channel partner success.

These include Cloud Ignite Services, Ingram Micro Service Desk and Cloud Elevate.

Cloud Ignite services is available to assist channel partners with the data migration and on-boarding needs of their customers, as well as providing free customer service for all Cloud services purchased on the Cloud Marketplace.

Further, the Ingram Micro Service Desk is a fee-based, quality-driven service which partners can resell to their customers and bundle with other offerings.

It offers a 24/7/365 multilingual team that provides level 1 support for front office, desktop and many IT-related issues via phone, chat and email.

Lastly, Ingram Micro Cloud is announcing its premier loyalty program, Cloud Elevate.

This new program delivers rewards and enablement services to help resellers accelerate their Cloud sales and profitability.

Benefits include; exclusive promotions, discounts, education, sales and marketing support, as partners move up in the program.

New partners joining Cloud Elevate by July 31 will receive a credit of $100 (Australian), which can be used for any Microsoft Cloud Solution within 90 days of joining the program.

IT Logic co-founder and director, Haydn Tomlinson, said the Cloud Marketplace simplified success in the Cloud with its aggregated service offerings, streamlined solutions and 24/7 customer support.

“By partnering with Ingram Micro and leveraging its Cloud Marketplace, we have been able to adopt Cloud solutions with ease while driving our business towards greater efficiency and profitability,” he said.

IDC program vice president, worldwide channels and alliances research, Darren Bibby, said the availability of the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace in Australia would help level the playing field for channel partners looking to establish, grow and more effectively manage their Cloud offerings to gain a competitive edge and enhance organisational agility.

The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is scheduled to launch in Sweden, Italy, Spain and Germany in the second quarter of 2015, and would be followed by New Zealand in the third quarter of 2015.

The Cloud Marketplace currently offers English, French, and Spanish language support, and is functional across multiple currencies including EUR, GBP and now the Australian dollar.
