Leading distributor, Ingram Micro, has won the Zebra Technologies’ Award of Excellence for the Asia-Pacific region at the annual global Zebra conference held recently in Las Vegas.
Ingram Micro General Manager DCPOS A/NZ, David Charlton, said the company was “delighted to have won the award, as it is great recognition for all the hard work that our channel partners and staff have invested in Zebra’s growth.”
Charlton said while Ingram Micro didn’t usually release numbers for individual business units, he was happy to talk about its Zebra business growth in the APAC region.
“In the past 12 months our APAC Zebra business has grown by more than 22 per cent. Zebra is not only a significant regional player in the Enterprise Asset Intelligence market, but is an extremely important part of our business,” he said
The award recognises Zebra channel partners and distributors for outstanding performance. Ingram Micro was one of only four companies around the globe honoured.
“These days it’s simply not enough to have the right stock at the right price. The key differentiating factor is the quality of the customer service that we can deliver, which is why we are continuing to invest in growing our DCPOS team, so our channel partners get the level of service they need,” Charlton said.
The US-based Zebra Technologies builds identification and tracking technology such as thermal barcode label and receipt printers, RFID smart label printers/encoders, and card and kiosk printers. It has more than 7000 employees in 122 offices across 81 countries, with channel partners in more than 100 countries. It has a market capitalisation of $US5.64 billion.
