Security company, ESET, has released updates to its business products including ESET File Security for Microsoft Windows Server, ESET Endpoint Antivirus for OS X and 6.2 of ESET Remote Administrator.
The latest version of ESET File Security for Microsoft Windows Server has added a Hyper-V storage scan capability. The new feature is designed to allow admins to inspect files on virtual machines without having another instance of antivirus product in place.
ESET product manager, Michal Jankech, said ESET Remote Administrator Web-based console has been equipped with optional 2-factor authentication login protection.
“This new feature means you can protect up to 10 admin accounts for free,” he said.
ESET said the update to its Endpoint Antivirus for OS X offers Device Control, a new layer of data access protection for Mac users.
According to a company statement, the new feature makes it possible to block unauthorised devices such as DVDs or USBs from the system. It also enables administrators to create rules for user groups in order to comply with company policies.
The product refresh is the first since ESET ditched it's exclusive distribution model in March 2015.
