CenturyLink builds Australian MSP partnerships

Adds Blue Central, CertaOne, Offis, Pro IT and The Somerville Group to its list of MSP partners in Australia

Hybrid IT solutions provider, CenturyLink, has added new Cloud partners in Australia including Blue Central, CertaOne, Offis, PRO IT and The Somerville Group / ISNet.

These new relationships come on the back of CenturyLink’s first in-market distribution partner, Avnet that was announced in April, along with the launch of its Cloud node in Sydney and the expansion of its Australian Reseller Partner Program.

Avnet’s Australia-based cloud reseller partners will have the ability to manage cloud services, consumption and billing on behalf of end-user customers through the online Avnet Cloud Toolset (ACT) portal.

CenturyLink A/NZ regional director, Stuart Mills, said building partner relationships and developing a mature distribution channel in Australia was a key focus.

“We look forward to collaborating with our new cloud reseller partners as they build recurring revenue streams and meet their customers’ IT needs by leveraging CenturyLink’s high-performance global cloud infrastructure, unique enterprise features, simple cloud management, and ongoing training and support,” he said. “Partner resources from CenturyLink can help resellers extend their customer relationships, increase revenues and enable customers on their journey to cloud in a simple, fast and low-cost manner.”

CertaOne CEO, Jacques Tesson, highlighted three key reasons it chose to partner with CenturyLink Cloud including 24/7 support offered in Australia and worldwide; network coverage and international locations with free data transfer between locations as well as the seamless integration with VMware, which offers a short migration path to the Cloud for VMware users.

Offis Multi-Cloud Services CEO, Franck Demoiseau said it liked CenturyLink’s MSP partnership model that offers a ‘try before you buy’ period to on-board new customers.

“Offis Multi-Cloud Services chose CenturyLink because it offers private dedicated physical environments (Bare Metal), its public cloud can vertically scale easily and it has global points of presence with interconnected nodes that accommodate our customer data sovereignty requirements,” he said.

The Somerville Group/ ISNet managing director, Craig Somerville, said the integration of CenturyLink’s product offerings, like cloud compute services, into its ecosystem lets customers efficiently access pure consumption-based application, compute and storage services.

Avnet Technology Solutions A/NZ cloud services business manager, Chris Farrow, said the partnership was a game-changer for the Australian SMB market, allowing them to not only become more effective against their direct competitors, but also to help ‘level the playing field’ between SMBs and big business.
