CSG has been selected as an official supplier for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

As part of the agreement, CSG will provide more than 500 multi-function devices and printers on top of project planning support, pre-deployment testing, warehouse storage, full maintenance and servicing.

The print and IT provider will ensure maximum uptime and quality are delivered.

The devices will be placed at the Games headquarters and other competition related venues.

CSG will also provide all necessary refills of consumables, supplies and spare parts needed.

“CSG is proud to be involved with such a significant sporting event, the largest Australia will see this decade, and looks forward to delivering world class solution for this world class event,” the company said at the annual report to shareholders.

The Gold Coast 2018 will kick off on 4 April 2018 with more than 6,600 athletes during 11 days of games that is expected to be broadcasted to 1.5 billion people globally.

In August, Optus announced a $20 million investment to improve its mobile network across the Gold Coast in preparation for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. The money will be used to build mobile towers to improve coverage at two sites across Carrara Stadium, the Commonwealth Games Village, Currumbin and Main Beach.

Previously, Optus announced a partnership with Cisco to roll out network hardware for the Games, which included the connectivity of 25,000 devices.

CSG closed the 2017 financial year net profit after tax loss of $43.7 million after writing off $55 million of goodwill associated with its print business in early August.

The company’s total revenue was $244.5, or a one per cent decline compared to the previous year. The company said that its technology-as-a-subscription service, introduced in 2015, now represents 17 per cent of the company’s revenue.

CSG expects a revenue growth of 10 per cent for the 2018 financial year with EBITDA of $30 million. The company also plans to develop partnership with HP across Australia and New Zealand and launch a cloud-based business application suite in CSG Cloud Marketplace.
