Rhipe has been appointed as Australia’s first distributor for KPMG’s cloud accounting technology Wiise.

The software, which is built on Microsoft Azure in partnership with Commonwealth Bank, will be distributed to  2,500 technology partners across Australia.

Unveiled earlier this year, the software is largely intended to be integrated into Microsoft's Office 365 and Dynamics products at small to medium business level.

The software allows businesses to carry out finance management and reporting, basic inventory management, receivables and payables, auto-reconciliation, HR and payroll.

Resellers of Wiise are billed on a recurring subscription management, which, according to Rhipe, allows them to “streamline tenant provisioning, billing, reporting and 24/7 support for their end-user customers, on a pay-as-you-go basis”.

"As a cloud first, channel first company, we’re excited to provide our partners with this opportunity that will enable them to have a new conversation with their customers and accelerate cloud profitability,” said Dominic O’Hanlon, CEO of Rhipe.

Rhipe is expected to also start distributing Wiise in New Zealand following its appointment as an indirect cloud service provider in July by Microsoft, before embarking on a global roll-out.

"In the few months since we launched, we found there’s a huge demand for software that fills the gap between cloud accounting and enterprise-scale ERP solutions – and Rhipe is the ideal partner to bring Wiise to SMEs across the country,” added John Munnelly, executive director at Wiise.

Rhipe, which also distributes cloud software for VMWare, Citrix, Veaam, Acronis, Trend Micro, Symantec, recently posted a revenue increase of 25 per cent for the last financial year.

Overall the company generated $196.6 million in revenue while operating profit grew 54 per cent to $7.8 million.
