Hosted communications provider MyNetFone has entered into a partnership with The Australian Construction Industry Forum in an effort to ramp up its presence among SMEs.

Members of ACIF’s 200,000-strong base will have access to MyNetFone Business’s suite of IP-based communication products and services, which include phones, data services, plus add-ons.

MyNetFone, which is a subsidiary of the publicly-listed MNF Group, will also offer discounted rates on rugged phones and telecom services.

Among its services, the company also facilitates the migration of voice services to the cloud for enterprises, SMEs and consumers.

The partnership follows the recent promotion of Lee Atkinson from MNF head of product to general manager for small business and channel partners. As part of his promotion, Atkinson will be tasked with working with SMEs to invest more in technology.

“Being a small business owner myself, I understand the needs of our customers,” said Atkinson. “The ACIF agreement is the first of many strategic partnerships, as we strive to help our customers beyond just solving their communications woes, and be an active partner in helping them turn technology change into business success.”

To capitalise on this, MyNetFone will launch a series of TED-style talks next month, which will feature specialist speakers talking about using telecoms, internet of things, artificial intelligence and software in construction.

“ACIF represents the major influences in the construction industry,” said James Cameron, the forum executive officer.

“With technology playing a more vital role in shaping the future of construction, ACIF aims to lead the way in equipping our members to be well placed to harness and influence these changes.

"The new partnership with MyNetFone will allow us and our members to be at the forefront of innovation adoption while sharing learnings to influence technology change.”
