The head of channel for Fortinet Australia has left after three and a half years to join a charity helping the homeless.
Fiona Hodges left the network and content security vendor to take on the role of strategic partnership manager for Orange Sky Australia, a service providing a free mobile laundry service for the homeless.
Fortinet confirmed Hodges departure and said the company is still on the hunt for a replacement channel chief.
Hodges has led the channel for Australia since November last year after Genevieve White left to take on the role of head of security specialist sales at Telstra.
Prior to her promotion, Hodges had served as national channel manager for two years. Before joining the vendor, she was the channel development manager for NetApp and was previously a channel account manager for SAN Systems in Queensland.
She has also held channel and partnership roles at Quantum, Dialog and SAP between 2001 and 2011.
"We thank Fiona for her contribution to Fortinet’s channel efforts, and wish her well in the future," a Fortinet spokesperson said. "We are currently searching for Fiona’s replacement and will release details when appropriate.”
