Design Industries (DI) has been appointed Alibaba Cloud's first Atlassian implementation partner.
As a result of the partnership, DI will offer an enterprise platform in an effort to boost operation efficiency for customers using Atlassian.
The Melbourne-based web services provider said the partnership aims to allow firms to build secure and dynamic environments for Atlassian deployments using its own configuration patterns and Alibaba Cloud.
On a security front, the partnership will offer denial-of-service attack protection and product extensions such as a threat detection service, website inspector and a web application firewall.
In addition, new storage will be available in the form of storage gateway and hybrid services.
DI currently has Atlassian customers in Australia including Swisse, NAB, ANZ, Caterpillar, Bunnings and Coles, plus Australian Federal and State government departments.

Results of the partnership will be available across Asia-Pacific.

Alibaba entered the top five global cloud infrastructure services providers during the final quarter of 2017, following behind AWS, Microsoft, IBM and Google.
