Three independent software vendors (ISVs) have joined forces to create Channel Collective, targeting value-added resellers, service providers, vendors and distributors.

With the aim of streamlining operational processes through automation, the consortium of specialists include iasset.com, Vortex 6 and Channel Mechanics.

Specifically, the partnership aims to increase revenue and enhance operational efficiency within the channel, through the combination of three complementary platforms.

“The Channel Collective originated from an idea generated from observing an extraordinary volume of channel software companies operating with a common purpose,” said Scott Frew, CEO of iasset.com.

“That being to assist our customers in selecting quality solutions that automate the parts of our customers’ business that transact with essentially disparate vendor, distributor SPs and VAR operating processes.”

As the brainchild of Frew, the Channel Collective offers a platform for customers to gain visibility of all three offerings, which are designed to improve partner program efficiencies.

Furthermore, key customers include Ingram Micro, Arrow, IBM and Cisco, alongside VMware, Vodafone, Fujitsu and Honeywell.

“Channel Mechanics and Vortex 6 have excellent solutions that are not only complementary to the iasset.com platform, but when integrated can provide an exponential multiplier in productivity, cost reduction and opportunity acceleration,” Frew added.

From an offering perspective, iasset.com is an installed base management platform for the technology channel, while Vortex 6 provides software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions that automate multi-vendor partner program compliance.

Finally, Channel Mechanics is a channel automation platform allowing users the ability to convert sales ideas into executable channel programs.

“We recognise how tough and competitive the channel environment is and as more vendors and partners shift their focus to cloud, so this drives challenges for the channel,” added Peter Olive, CEO of Vortex 6.

“This initiative is aimed to help our partners achieve better value and maximum revenue from their engagement with us, which will deliver a win:win for all concerned.

“Our platforms are complementary and together we are able to deliver a level of automation that is unique in the market today.”

According to Kenneth Fox - CEO of Channel Mechanics - the Channel Collective creates a “unique opportunity” to combine complementary solutions to support the “ever-changing and demanding needs” of the channel ecosystem.

“Our coming together provides a vision and mindshare that brings new levels of automation to the channel, previously unimaginable,” Fox added.

“For the vendors, distributors and partners leveraging our solutions as part of their go-to-market strategy, they are seeing accelerated revenue, reduced costs and new levels of data insights shaping their growth trajectories.”
