Targets partners developing solutions outside the SAP software environment SAP has extended partner program capabilities to include a new integration option, designed to expand customer choice through the channel. Revealed during Sapphire Now in Orlando, the software giant is targeting partners developing solutions outside the SAP software environment, in a bid to encourage integration with the vendor’s solutions. “Through the new integrate option, SAP is enabling partners developing outside the SAP environment to connect their unique data, content and business services to SAP solutions,” said Karl Fahrbach, chief partner officer at SAP. Fahrbach said partners can apply for the integrate option in SAP PartnerEdge, Build, exclusively or in combination with other engagement offerings of the SAP PartnerEdge program. The new option currently covers most SAP solutions, whether delivered as a cloud service or on-premises deployment, except for SAP Concur solutions and Experience Management solutions from Qualtrics. “We recognise that to meet the specific needs of customers on their journey toward becoming intelligent enterprises, our partners require flexibility when building complementary capabilities and integrating those with SAP solutions,” Fahrbach added. “Thus, it will help partners expand their market reach and help customers drive more insight and intelligence from their business processes powered by the solutions they trust.” Once a partner has completed SAP’s readiness check for their integrated solution, Fahrbach said they can use the “broad range” of go-to-market resources and services that the vendor currently provides. For example, partners can commercialise their solutions through SAP App Center, the digital marketplace for SAP partner offerings, while also gaining SAP-certified integration as additional options and proof points.
