New Zealand's Team Asparona will resell a secure content management product developed by ASX-listed cyber-security company ArchTIS.

The deal provides ArchTIS with access to New Zealand government business in the thriving enterprise content management market as Team Asparona is already an established provider in that space.

ArchTIS has developed a secure content management product called Kojensi Gov while Team Asparona already delivers an Oracle powered content as a service platform, ContentWorx, to several government users including the Department of Conservation.

More controversially, Team Asparona won a $25 million, 10-year deal for ContentWorx with Inland Revenue. The Auditor-General last April faulted IRD for accepting new pricing from one supplier, Team Asparona, but not giving the same opportunity to another short-listed supplier.

According to an announcement from ArchTIS on the ASX this morning, Team Asparona's Contentworx now has around 5000 licensed users.

Kojensi Gov has been developed to deliver content management services for users requiring a security classification of "classified" and above. It can be deployed as a service or on-site if higher levels of security are required.

Team Asparona will also act as a commercialisation agent for the product in New Zealand and to take Kojensi Gov, which was launched in April, into markets such as defence and intelligence agencies.

Team Asparona CEO James Fowler said there had been growing demand for secure collaboration platforms in government. there had already been interest in Kojensi Gov here and he planned to offer it on the new government digital marketplace.

Kojensi Gov is already on the Australian federal government's cloud services panel.

Daniel Lai, managing director of ArchTIS, said the New Zealand public sector presented a significant growth opportunity because it was closely aligned with that in Australia.

ArchTIS had already been working with Team Asparona for three years and Fowler and his team know the product intimately, he said.

Team Asparona is owned by Deloitte and Team Informatics.
