Network monitoring company Paessler AG has launched PRTG Plus, a channel-focused subscription licence for monitoring 5,000 devices or more.
PRTG Plus offers potential partners more flexibility when deploying Paessler’s PRTG Network Monitoring product, closer partnership with Paessler and premium support, as well as a flat rate pricing per sensor, per year, with the option of annual billing.
To get involved with PRTG Plus, businesses don't need to be an existing Paessler's partner, but they do need to pass the networking company's certification program, achieving both Professional and Monitoring Expert certifications.
Steven Feurer, CTO at Paessler, said the subscription service came about through requests from customers for more support with larger scale deployments.
“This is where our PRTG PLUS Partners come in with their professional service offering,” Feurer said.
“Our PRTG PLUS Partners are essential to ensuring monitoring is deployed effectively in these larger IT environments. We will be supporting them to do this through our premium support channels.”
Previously, the largest perpetual licence, PRTG XL5, scaled to 50,000 sensors over five PRTG core servers, so users who wanted to monitor up to 5,000 devices needed multiple licences.
“PRTG PLUS removes the need for multiple licences, providing a single OpEx based license, which can be deployed across as many servers as required with as many sensors as required,” Feurer added.
Partner applications with Paessler for resellers and system integrators with experience in monitoring large installations are currently open.
