Asia Pacific network provider Superloop has announced a partnership with communications and services provider Comscentre.

Under the partnership, Superloop’s metro fibre network will be supplied to Comscentre customers with speeds up to 90Gbps and beyond to provide connectivity for network, hosted and managed services.

Through this partnership, a statement by both companies claims that customers of both Superloop and Comscentre will have access to a “reliable, high speed and cost-effective network with no downtime or latency issues.”

Ben Shipley, managing director at Comscentre said that the combination of Superloop’s network-based infrastructure platform and Comscentre’s hosted services, communication and collaboration capabilities would result in delivering “real differentiated value” to customers.

Drew Kelton, CEO of Superloop added that the partnership with Comscentre would mean the provider’s customers will have one source for network, hosting and managed services.

“With Superloop’s metropolitan fibre networks providing high speed capacity and ubiquitous connectivity, and Comscentre’s network, hosting and managed services, customers can expect real value, seamless connectivity, low latency, and value add unrivalled in Australian network infrastructure and managed services delivery.”

This announcement is the latest for both companies this year, with Superloop subsidiary SubPartners announcing its Indigo subsea cable system is ready for use in May and Comscentre announcing it has been chosen to upgrade the fixed network of over 4,000 post offices, Australia Post corporate offices and mail and parcel facilities in August.

Article updated on 11 October at 3:46pm to clarify that Superloop's metro fibre network supplied to Comscentre customers has speeds up to 90Gbps and beyond rather than 90Mbps.
