The regional head of channels and alliances for LogMeIn has left the business after two and a half years.
Robert Findlay, who joined the remote connectivity software vendor from HPE in 2017, has left for "personal reasons" and has not been replaced at this stage.
ARN understands Findlay's team is still in place and the company is still in the process of finalising the new reporting structure.
His departure follows LogMeIn's hiring of two channel executives to oversee its unified communications and collaborations (UCC) business in Asia Pacific.
Former Extreme Networks APAC distribution manager Yvette McEnearney has been appointed as regional head of unified communications and collaboration, while former NICE inContact channel director Mark Harvey will act as the unit’s channel boss.
Based in Sydney, McEnearney will be tasked with spearheading a “channel-led” strategy within the UCC division and will report to LogMeIn APJ vice president Lindsay Brown.
ARN understands their roles will function on their own and will not report into the channel team formerly under the leadership of Findlay.
“I am looking forward to bringing my business development and vast channel experience to grow the LogMeIn business,” McEnearney said.
Meanwhile, Harvey, who has also held senior channel roles at ShoreTel, Mitel and Macquarie Telecom, will be tasked with “engaging and onboarding partners” and helping them sell LogMeIn’s ‘GoTo’ suite, which launched in March.
“My experience in the channel has provided me with good knowledge of the business requirements and challenges faced by partners,” he said.
Harvey will also lead the region from LogMeIn’s Sydney base and will report to McEnearney.
Their appointments come as part of a global strategy by LogMeIn to sell its ‘GoToConnect’, ‘GoToRooms’, ‘GoToWebinar’ and ‘GoToMeeting’ products via the channel on subscription-based models.
According to Brown, the vendor is seeing “enormous growth” in the region for the GoTo portfolio.
“The investment in Yvette McEnearney and Mark Harvey shows that we have a very strong commitment to the market and to growing our channel within the region.”
In order to drive partner sales locally, LogMeIn has also signed a Master Agent agreement with Tradewinds, the Australian offshoot of US-based Telarus, which Brown claimed would help partners “find new opportunities and new customers”.
