Telarus goes Mobile

Company launches its first mobile services offering

Infrastructure-based service provider, Telarus, has launched its first mobile service providing voice, data and messaging solutions.

The Telarus Mobile service will sit alongside and enhance its existing voice and data services and be sold through the channel.

Its voice services will be available Australia-wide and offer users the option for IFF and International Roaming. With the Telarus data service, customers with compatible handsets can access data using GPRS protocol. There are three different product offerings targeting home users, business and corporate applications.

"It's typical that clients have voice, data, and mobile requirements - they were waiting for us to add mobile services so they can package all their services with us and close that loop," managing director, Jules Rumsey, said.

Telarus has about 40 active partners in its Solutions Partners program. Partners are able to either refer opportunities to the Telarus channel sales team or directly sell Telarus services.

Rumsey said many of its partners bundle services with other products to offer complete solutions.

"To date, Telarus Solutions Partners have generated about 50 per cent of our overall revenues and we expect this trend to continue. For many of our partners, the addition of mobile will be an excellent complement to our existing voice and data offerings," Rumsey said.
