$800,000 Cisco deal up for grabs at APRA

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) has opened a tender to acquire between $600,000 and $800,000 worth of Cisco IP telephony equipment.

The organisation is a government-founded body that monitors banks, building societies and credit unions.

According to tender documents, the organisation is looking for a wide variety of "computer hardware and software products manufactured by Cisco Systems” along with network support services provided by the same vendor.

APRA has offices in all Australia capital cities except Darwin and Hobart.

The tender will close on August 28 and be followed by evaluations on September 2. The final decision on the preferred tenderer is expected to be released on September 7.

The callout comes on the back of the organisation rolling out a Cisco-based telephony system in all of its offices except Canberra at the cost of up to $200,000.
