Ingram Micro refreshes cloud marketplace, signs two new vendors

Also signs distribution deals with AvePoint and Geo

Ingram Micro has updated its cloud marketplace making it easier to access and navigate at the same time it welcomed solutions from two new vendors.

Ingram has unified what previously counted on three control panels – transaction, administration and management – into one.

Resellers can now register new clients, manage accounts, transactions and invoicing and billing from one interface rather than the previous three.

Ingram made it easier for partners to shop for their customers. For those partners who preferred the previous look of Ingram's cloud marketplace, they are still able to access it through the classic mode option for some time.

“The new and improved Cloud Marketplace unified control panel provides a seamless user experience, combining convenience and speed with improved functionality and a sleek new look,” said Lee Welch, director of cloud services A/NZ at Ingram Micro.

The global distributor also signed up distribution deals in Australia and New Zealand with software-makers AvePoint and Geo, with the latter being exclusive.

“We are also pleased to announce that two new providers are joining the line-up of solutions that can be accessed via our cloud marketplace,” Welch said. “They represent best in class and will provide our channel partners with an even greater selection of cloud solutions for their clients.”

Headquartered in Jersey City, AvePoint specialises in migrating and managing enterprise data and applications on Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint and Dynamics.

“We saw this as a huge opportunity to take our strong portfolio out to market through an existing trusted channel for top Microsoft partners, so we saw the Ingram Micro partnership as a natural progression for AvePoint,” said Andre Carpenter, director of channel, distribution and alliances at AvePoint Australia and New Zealand.

Meanwhile, Geo provides cloud-based business productivity tools and applications for small to large businesses with mobile and disparate workforces.

“The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is quickly becoming a preferred destination for channel partners looking to successfully grow their business and footprint in the cloud,” Kylie O’Reilly, Geo CEO said.
