Video Communications vendor Zoom is to launch a new funding pot to help channel partners generate more customer leads.

The US-based company is to roll out its Reseller Partners Marketing Development Funds (MDF) Program within the next three months as part of a wider expansion of its channel program.

The fund is designed to allow partners to boost lead generation and carry out go-to-market activities. Zoom will also launch a module within the partner portal where partners can request the funding and submit claims.

In addition to the MDF, Zoom will now offer more training resources and a new partner qualification.

The company will also expand its library of resources and assets in the partner portal, as well as increase the number of online education and training events. It has also claimed it will offer additional channel account managers and a dedicated support line in an attempt to boost channel support.

Headquartered in San Jose, Zoom’s main product is its software-based conference room solution Zoom Rooms for spaces such as offices, clinics, and classrooms.

“Zoom’s hardware and channel partners are vital to getting [our] services into the hands of enterprises around the world,” said Laura Padilla, Zoom’s head of business development and channels. “We are happy to provide greater resources and support to our channel partners.”

The new additions come a year after Zoom last expanded its partner portal, offering more deal registration, marketing and training resources.

At the time, it offered a new reseller price list, product bundles and a streamlined deal registration and discounting process for all partners.
