Ion Ups adds Multimedia Technology to its distributor network

Operated power protection vendor Ion Ups has partnered with distributor Multimedia Technology.

Under the agreement, Multimedia Technology will be distributing Ion’s full range of products and services in order to focus on developing the vendor’s offering into the Australian IT reseller market, as well as increasing Ion’s reach into the small- to medium-sized business and corporate IT marketplace.

Speaking about the partnership, John Sullivan, channel business development manager at Ion, said it will “deliver a powerful best of breed portfolio of power protection and backup product to the Australian IT industry.”

“We are delighted to welcome Multimedia Technology to the Ion family to satisfy our ever-increasing customer base,” Sullivan said.

“This partnership will help us enhance and further expand our reach into the IT industry and provide these partners with an Australian based vendor who can offer a full turnkey power solution.”

Other distributors for Ion Ups include Sektor, EMPR and Dueltek Distribution.

Ion Ups was founded in 2012, is headquartered in Melbourne and has offices in Sydney. 

The vendor has seen growth in several aspects of the business, including a revenue increase between FY18 and FY 19 by 320 per cent and customer acquisitions, including distributor partnerships and resellers.
