Whilst mingling and enjoying drinks and finger food, the partners were joined by VMware management who also took the opportunity to let their hair down to have some fun.

Nutanix recently held its customer and channel event, .NEXT, in Sydney. The event, held at the Sheraton on the Park saw attendance from more than 150 channel and technology partners and customers. It was the first in a series of events Nutanix is holding in A/NZ in August and September, the objective of which is to brief partners and customers on “what’s next” in the design and management of datacentre technology.

IN PICTURES: EDGE 2015 - Day One breakout sessions (+33 photos)
Business growth was the main theme from the breakout sessions at day 1 of EDGE 2015. Vendors such as Microsoft, APC by Schneider Electric, Barracuda Networks, HP, Veeam, Webroot, Telstra and Toshiba took to stage to discuss key technologies that impact the channel and what they need to do stay ahead of the pack. A hall of fame reseller panel saw some key industry names address their guests. Here are some pictures from the day.

IN PICTURES: OKI Data Australia partner event (+10 photos)
OKI recently hosted its ChannelOne dealer forum for its executive series channel partners to get together and learn about the company's new high-performance ES8400 A3 multifunction series printers. After a welcome and business overview from OKI Data Australia managing director, Dennie Kawahara, delegates were given a comprehensive overview of the new product, as well as an update on the latest marketing initiatives and software solutions, before being treated to live demos and a product showcase. Partners were also given a preview of OKI’s upcoming A3 digital LED white toner printer. With more than 60 delegates attending from all over the country, the day concluded with dinner at Casa Ristorante Italiano in Sydney and several delegates also participated in a friendly game of golf the following morning.

Distribution Central recently hosted a launch event for its DC CloudSelect Marketplace at Studio in Sydney Tower. Besides literally getting as close to the Cloud as possible in one of the highest buildings in Sydney, its channel partners were also given a short presentation around Cloud trends and a demo of the DC solution, followed by drinks and canapes. A demo pod was also set up for guests that were interested to have an onsite demonstration.

Veeam recently hosted a cocktail party for its CEO, Ratmir Timashev, who is on his first ever trip to Sydney. Timashev met and greeted the company's Australian staff, customers, partners, and channel alliances at this networking reception. There was a crowd of about 80 people who mingled over drinks and nibbles. Here are some shots from the event.

It was a rainy day but that didn't dampen spirits at the latest ARN Roundtable, held at Sydney's est restaurant. Attendees discussed everything Cloud related, focusing on data sovereignty and colocation. In addition, they spoke about the Cloud's evolution, what the channel needs to do to support the move to the Cloud, and also addressed the need for services in this space.This roundtable was sponsored by NextDC. IN PICTURES: Canalys unites vendors and resellers in Shanghai conference
Canalys' 2014 Channels Forum took place in Shanghai's Shangri-La hotel. The two-day conference commenced November 5, with big-name vendors Cisco, EMC and HP talking strategy in the contemporary industry. Workshops and roundtables followed, offering channel partners insight, education, and training. The event continues November 6 with a full day of vendor roundtables and presentations.

Sitecore held its seventh annual Customer Experience Awards on October 31 with a Halloween theme. The event recognised partners which demonstrated creative use of its capabilities to deliver transformative business results, integration with applications, multi-channel engagement, and overall site visitor experience. CPA Australia was crowned overall winner.
