    IN PICTURES: Intel’s Drone 100 performance lights up Vivid Sydney (+37 photos)

    As part of Vivid Sydney, Intel’s Drone 100 performance, featuring 100 illuminated drones, made its public debut on June 8 with performances conducted each night until Sunday June 12. The exhibition was developed by Intel and Ars Electronica and the Sydney Youth Orchestra performed in front of the Sydney Opera House as part of the event. Pictures courtesy of Intel.

    The official afterparty for AWS re:Invent 2015 was held at the Linq carpark in Las Vegas. Attendees were fenced in by stacks of shipping containers and were treated to food and drinks from some of the city's best known restaurants and bars. The entertainment ranged from mini golf to the giant Intel video game wall, music was provided by DJs Team Ezy and Zedd.     Huawei and its partners took the opportunity to show off their latest technologies at Huawei's recent Network Congress 2015. The companies displayed their solutions at an innovation showcase during the summit, which gave other international partners a glimpse into solutions Huawei has been working on in some specific verticals. Some of the partner exhibitions included f5, Intel, Puppet Labs, as well as Infosys.

    To celebrate a great 2014 partnership and kick off 2015, Ingram Micro invited Intel Security staff to come along to its office, network and indulge in some delicious lunch through ‘The NightHawk Diner’ food truck experience. Attendees also tried their hand at a Spin and Win competition with the lucky winner, Manish Thakur, taking home a new Apple iPad.

    IN PICTURES: Synnex's $45m automated logistics centre launched by Turnbull and Dr Miau

    Synnex has opened the doors to its $45 million monster logistics centre with the help of visiting company chairman and director, Dr Matthew Miau, and Minister for Communications, Malcolm Turnbull. The fully-automated facility is located in Lidcombe, a Western Sydney suburb which has grown to become a commercial and industrial hub for major IT players. The centre will operate with Synnex three V philosophy - visibility, velocity, value - to bring vendor and reseller partners predictability. Photos inside the facility were not permitted.
