Veeam recently hosted its annual VeeamON Tour in Sydney with customers and channel partners gathering together to view technical sneak peeks, insights and business scenarios to IT decision makers.

Microsoft opened its new flagship store in Sydney, the first outside of North America, with some pomp and circumstance, to a big crowd of several thousand - some of whom had been queueing since 6.15pm the night before. There was caps and water for virtually everybody, major prizes from the Microsoft range, and the first 750 through the door got two complimentary tickets to an exclusive Jessie J concert at the State Theatre. Microsoft executives from the US, civic and state government leaders, joined MIcrosoft Australia MD, Pip Marlow, and Sydney store manager, Nick Wells, in celebrating the opening of the super store. Software company, Qlik, recently held a party to mark the opening of its new office in North Sydney. Qlik CEO, Lars Bjork, welcomed a number of the company's elite partners to the event. There was ribbon cutting, plenty of networking, and lots of happy faces around. Here are some pictures from the event.

OKI recently hosted its ChannelOne dealer forum for its executive series channel partners to get together and learn about the company's new high-performance ES8400 A3 multifunction series printers. After a welcome and business overview from OKI Data Australia managing director, Dennie Kawahara, delegates were given a comprehensive overview of the new product, as well as an update on the latest marketing initiatives and software solutions, before being treated to live demos and a product showcase. Partners were also given a preview of OKI’s upcoming A3 digital LED white toner printer. With more than 60 delegates attending from all over the country, the day concluded with dinner at Casa Ristorante Italiano in Sydney and several delegates also participated in a friendly game of golf the following morning.
