Leader Computers is lending a supporting hand to resellers, offering RMA services for the same products it distributes as Altech Computers.
Earlier this month, Altech Computers went into voluntary administration, appointing Andrew Scott and Daniel Walley of PPB Advisory on December 3, after more than 18 years in business.
Leader managing director, Theo Kristoris, said since Altech went into administration, resellers can’t get support for RMA, and were approaching them for help.
“Even though they didn’t buy the product from us, we want to try to help them. We are close partners with our resellers and in this tough time we are willing to offer support to get RMA service for products that we distribute and Altech did too,” he said. “We will be offering to go 50/50 on cost for this RA service with our resellers at a rate of $30 per vendor RMA.”
For example if there is 10 x Gigabyte items, Leader will charge only $30. On average the freight and labor cost to Leader is $60 per vendor.
Resellers also have an option to go direct to vendors for RMA service, but this can be issue for some resellers because some of the manufacturers aren’t based in Australia.
The list of vendors it will support include ASUS, AOC, Corsair, Gigabyte, Intel, Kaspersky, Leadtek, LG, Micron, Microsoft, Samsung, Sapphire, Seagate, TP-Link and WD.
