ARN's Market trends of IoT roundtable examined what has led to the growth of IoT, if it's just a buzzword in the industry and growing use cases of IoT. Eyeing the vertical market possibilities, the roundtable also discussed how IoT will facilitate and accelerate economic growth, build educated and digitally-engaged communities and workforce, improve government services, transport and critical infrastructure. Lenovo recently held its annual partner and customer summit, Lenovo Live, in Sydney. The event took place at the Dockside Pavilion in Darling Harbour and included presentations and panels with Lenovo’s key channel partners. Thomas Duryea recently hosted drinks and nibbles for its channel partners, customers and guests at the Hotel Palisade in Sydney. Each year, OKI Club rewards its top-performing channel partners for achievements in sales revenue and growth. This year, qualifying partners were flown to Japan for a five day, four night retreat. Delegates visited the OKI Technology Fair to view a showcase demonstrating its abilities beyond printers and multi-function printers. On the following days, they enjoyed the local cuisine and immersing themselves in the Japanese culture. Other highlights included a sightseeing tour of Tokyo and Nikko and enjoying culinary highlights, local shopping, and a few rounds of golf.

Emerson Network Power recently invited its partners and distributors to a channel roadshow in Sydney to hear about the company's new channel vision. Its A/NZ channel director, Mo Kandeel, spoke about the new channel vision. Outsourced IT services provider and 2015 ARN ICT Industry Awards SMB partner of the year winner, eNerds, recently celebrated its 15th anniversary at Cruise Bar in Sydney. In the midst of about 70 customers, staff, and partners, eNerds co-founders, Jamie Warner and Tristan Warner, thanked the company's longstanding customers and staff. They all mingled over drinks, canapes, cake and the view of the harbour. Here are some pictures from the night.
