Sophos partner Commulynx in new MSP deal

The new services model will bridge the gap in the existing security offerings

IT security company, Sophos, has partnered with integrator, Commulynx, in a new managed service provider agreement.

The partnership agreement follow Commulynx’s participation in high-level Sophos certification and training, to become a certified managed service provider under Sophos’s new MSP security program, which launched this year.

Commulynx co-owner, Broderick Smith, said the new services model will bridge the gap in the existing security offerings it can offer its customers.

“Sophos allows us to offer organisations simple, affordable security solutions that address the latest trends in technology and the workplace,” he said.

“From network protection to endpoint anti-virus, our clients can be confident that their IT security is second to none.”

He said the benefit of providing businesses with managed security services meant every dollar they spent was on business productivity.

“There are no initial costs for set-up or upgrades, and organisations can turn a managed service on and off depending on their business needs and growth, which in turn reduces ongoing internal labour costs and optimises cash flow,” he said.

According to a company statement Commulynx has already seen positive interest in Sophos’s security products across its client base of over 500 organisations, including small and medium sized businesses, enterprises, government and not-for-profit organisations.

Sophos channel director A/NZ, Karen Delaney, said the new partnership would help Commulynx remain ahead of the curve in a highly competitive market.

“The new Sophos MSP program is designed to drive market success for our certified Managed Service Providers by closely aligning with their business and technical needs, and we’re excited to welcome Commulynx on board and assist them as they grow this market with on-boarding and technical support,” she said.

“This partnership will provide Commulynx’ clients with proven security services that not only meet their IT needs, but gives an organisation the peace of mind to know that the security aspects are taken care of, leaving them to focus on the core needs of running a successful business.”
